“Seven Sacred Containers of Drum and Dance”

Lead by: ANDREW ECKER & Fused with Surprise Musical Guest

Join us for a very special New Year’s Eve celebration as we come together to participate and collectively create the “Seven Sacred Containers”. A crowd developed, ceremonial sacred-space, that fosters the development of the earthling experience and intentionally activates our inner spirit beings! Facilitated by Andrew Ecker and lead by spirit, over 200 musical instruments will be passed out to the crowd including Drums, Shakers, and Bells. As spirit leads to drumming, dancing, and chant – we will be elevated to a higher plane of human awareness, entrained to the rhythm of the planet through 7 sacred containers, each holding the metaphysical architecture of the ancient ones that gave us this global medicine of connection and healing… When we combine the beat of the drum, the energy of the Global heart, the Animal totems, the Elements, the Divine Feminine, the Divine Masculine, Storytelling, and the Universal prayerful communication – we will embark on a shamanic journey of ancient ritual.

Bringing the electronic bass music vibe to the yoga scene, and the sounds of yoga to the electronic dance scene, Desert Dwellers’ global sound is the bridge between worlds. Joiningsolid groove with sounds of serenity, their signature aesthetic feels as natural on the dance floor as it does after hours or on the mat. Due in no small part to DesertDwellers’ pioneering spirit, the very concept of chill-out and sacred bass music has expanded dramatically. Skillfully blending deep bass, earthy percussion, etheric voices and culture-crossing instrumentation into a sonic incense for mind and body, Desert Dwellers offers a spellbinding hybrid with echoes of our tribal past and future. These two sound alchemists offer cutting edge techniques that blend the modern edge of electronica with the ancient sounds of cultures past. The result has been the prolific production of genre blending dance tracks and downtempo grooves that make for a truly memorable listening experience.

Desert Dwellers consists of Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe; together they are one of the most pioneering and prolific downtempo artists hailing from the United States, having released over a dozen full length albums, several DD remixed albums,as well as countless singles, EPs and remixes for labels like BlackSwan, Twisted, SixDegrees, Iboga and their own label DesertTrax, to name a few. Desert Dwellers has performed at some of the most prominent international music festivals including: Lightning In A Bottle, Symbiosis, Wanderlust, Shambhala, Eclipse Festival Australia, Envision, Beloved, SonicBloom, and Earthdance.

DJs for this vortex include:

Treavor Moontribe is one of the co-founders of the Los Angeles based “Moontribe Collective” and its legendary full moon desert gatherings. Since 1993, these events have been at the core of Southern California’s underground electronic music scene. Treavor established himself as one of the top Djs in LA thru these events and has since traveled the world from Brazil to Japan to Morocco, Portugal, Germany and all over North America. As a Dj it’s always been his diversity that’s set him apart from his peers. As Treavor always says himself he refuses to be “Genre-Fied” or be a one dimensional DJ. His love for music spans multiple genres and his DJing reflects this. Although he is most well known for Psy Trance and Techno styles, Treavor prides himself on having the ability to fit in anywhere and anytime.

After cutting his teeth at clubs like Vanguard and Avalon, as well as Burning Man and Moontribe’s desert settings, Anton Tumas developed a taste for the elegant, eclectic, and subtle melodies found in house and techno. Inspired by DJs like Lee Burridge, Dixon and Carl Craig, he learned how to throw a great party and build his reputation. His label Subtract Music has thrown parties with the likes of Henry Saiz, Marc Marzenit and Guy J, and even LA Burning Man Decompression, where in 2013 together with DISTRIKT it curated its own subDISTRIKT stage. The reason for this success is, simply, his music. Unlike many young DJs, Anton refuses to play ubiquitous “in your face” tracks, insisting instead on music that demands more careful listening, music whose truth is in the details. Since the late 90’s, Ecks has been filling spots and club floors all up and down the New England Area. Playing House Music of all sorts, making the people move to new and unheard music!

Ecks lets you feel what he’s feeling when he’s playing his music. It’s a very intimate experience, no matter if it’s a sexy Deep Afro House set or a pumpin’ Jack House set, the energy coming from those speakers is his energy focused on one thing…movement.

Terrakroma – has certainly carved out a niche in time with their unique playful sound. Andrew, Armando & Gabriel are the founders of the collective, their music is mainly composed of electronica that maintains a balance between organic and a synthesized sound, deep basses and a progressive electronic influence, very unique in its style, experimenting with an organic arrangement of psychedelic sounds. Born and raised in Los Angeles California, Blackass Ringleader has been subjected to all forms of art and music. And with terrain such as the entire South Western United States, he has had plenty of room to spread his wings. With so much to choose from his influences have become very well rounded. From the mountains to the ocean, from the deserts to the cities, Blackass has done nothing but devote his life to absorbing his awesome surroundings and return them to the earth and good people of the world through his heart and fingertips. With a backbone made of 30 years on the drums, 20 years on the TurnTables and an entire life of self expression through art, surfing and skateboarding, Blackass has taken his talents not only around the United States but to countries such as Japan, France, Spain, Canada and Mexico. His taste in music certainly shows where he has been and his skills definitely show how long. Although he rolls with no affiliations, his dearest friends and family tribes such as ElectriCocoon, Terrakroma, Moontribe, Greensector, Psytribe, Bramble Republic, Real Eyes and Electronarcosis, have all shown him love and comfort enabling him to fly free in his wishes to bring people together to celebrate “in the moment art”. His life mantra is from the words of Buddha:

“The work is to discover your world and then with all of your heart, give yourself to it”…

Having spent 2 decades developing his own unique approach to Psychedelic music, he seamlessly melds genres together such as Techno, Minimal, Zenonesque, Breaks, Psy-Dub, Glitch, Mid-tempo, and Downtempo! There is No Telling where he will go with the sound, as he is always pushing the limits. Focusing on a sound that’s diverse, refreshingly experimental, yet accessible and dance floor friendly at the same time..

His tracks and dj sets now consist of creaking psychedelic sound effects, beautifully flowing soundscape design. Deep, intricate bass lines, tribal influenced beats Within realms of twisted delicacy and complexity, spiced and layered with a color wheel of bold structures…

Lisa has the fluidity down with her complex music choices and thoughtful interplay between tracks. There are no accidental mixes when she spins. It’s always about what the music will do to and for people, and Lisa plays for no other purpose than to get people off their ass and on the floor! Bring your dancing shoes, because with Lisa on the decks there is little chance your will be sitting down.

Open Records/Desert Trax
The Bellhop project was born from a need to share a positive and playful sound on the dance floor, one that inspires smiley, child-like glee stripped of ego through its use of silly vocals, folk inspired instrumentals and sexy melodic baselines. Bellhop is the solo project of Andrew Kroma, of Los Angeles based Terrakroma, known for their progressive psychedelic techno. Bellhop blends a progressive influenced writing style with the sounds of french jazz, retro vocals, music from the balkans, and circus-inspired melodies to the growing genre of electro-swing. The sound is inescapably light-hearted, up-lifting and bright, while bringing the right amount of seriousness and sexiness to the dance-floor.

As a San Diego favorite for over 12 years, Brian Porterfield aka BASSMECHANIC, began his musical journey in 1996 playing Trance and House music as Brian Porterfield, opening for Christopher Lawance, Sandra Colins, Thomas Michael, RITM, Jackal, J-break, Dj Icey and DJ Fixx to name a few. In 2001 D&B caught his ear, and he began to incorporate this new sound into his sets, effectively bringing D&B to a new audience. In 2004 BASSMECHANIC (Brian Porterfield’s D&B, Break Beat, Electro, DubStep alter ego) came to be. In 2009 he produced FUNK THE SYSTEM! a monthly event in San Diego dedicated to BREAKS, ELECTRO and DUBSTEP. Featuring artists such as Uberzone, Bassbin Twins, Excision, Datsik, Subvert, An-ten-nae, Dieselboy, Oscure to name a few. BASSMECHANIC has been playing his brand of Breaks, Electro and Dubstep that’s become recognized throughout Southern California. Hard, funky, bottom heavy, facemeltin’ Breaktrostep.

BASSMECHANIC will keep you on your toes till the wee hours of the morning. So lets burn down the place and turn up your BASS!

Musashi was born in the shadows of the underground parties of Rotunda Sound System. He was given this name by a random traveler (A Nazukeoya) who looked at him and told him his Japanese name was Musashi. As He did research on Musashi he discovered the book of the 5 rings. After reading the book he noticed the similarities of the art of strategy, with the art of music production. With that he accepted that name and made a vow to make the world dance to his rhythm. He is a dancer so he play for the dancers. If he like the drums, he buys the track, no matter what style it is. He loves House Music and has been in the scene for over 20 years but could never get into DJing. Then he met Toshi, Idai, Hiromat. They Changed his life forever. House music is even better outdoors and he will always be thankful to them for taking him out of the club environment and getting me back in-tune with nature.

First introduced to DJ’ing in 2008, coming from turntables and MPC’s- performing now has opened up a new realm of expressing my sounds. Sets will continue to push the limits by combining different styles. Each song and expression is special to me and relevant to my life, I am so grateful to be able to share these experiences. My messages speak through the musical storytelling… enjoy.

Join us for the most eccentric, eclectic, electronic explosion we have ever produced thus far! & Check Out Our Indiegogogo!!!

ElectriCocoon is planning to become a multi-genre music festival, concert, and event production company, with a focus on interactive art and performance exposition. We will also offer equipment rental and setup services. Our mission is to provide an arena for our community members to earn a living doing exactly what they love, where and with whom they love to be, and we need everyone’s help to make our collective dream a reality.

We created the indieGoGo campaign to help us raise the funding needed to:

1. Establish ElectriCocoon as an LLC
(in order to organize and host festivals that have a deeper positive impact, and to secure incredible and beautiful venues, and engage the best talent possible, we need to create the solid framework for a registered company.)

2. Purchase a SaddleSpan s2000 portable structure
(the s2000 will provide us with the ability to host outdoor events during extreme weather and keep our Main Stage and everyone on the dancefloor warm and out of the wind and rain. It will also provide plenty of shade in the summer. We will also benefit from renting out our s2000 to other festivals and gatherings, along with developing our own stage designs, lighting setups, etc. – that can be integrated into other events, thus providing additional jobs and income for the electriCocoon team.)

3. Create and develop website that will feature ALL who want to participate, create, and contribute their unique individuality and expression of art, music, and knowledge. Our website will feature musicians, bands, producers, dj’s, artists, and performers – complete with profile pages and event calendars. We will also create the framework for our own social community that will keep everyone up to date, and connected. We want to provide everyone who uses the site, a chance to explore the many myriad talents and services our community offers.

4. Fund the Yellow Vortex Festival, a 5 Year Anniversary celebration of ElectriCocoon.

You can help us achieve our indiegogo campaign funding goals by following the link and contributing whatever amount you wish to donate; sharing this post with your friends and family (sibs, parents, grandparents, etc.), encouraging others to help our startup by contributing donations, with or without adding a perk or festival ticket; and leaving comments on our indiegogo page so as to raise our visibility profile.
